Students from SRM University-AP bagged three gold medals at the 85th All India Inter-University Athletics Championships 2025-26 held in Mangaluru.
A university statement issued on Friday said Anamika, an MBA student from Paari School of Business, secured the gold medal in heptathlon with 5158 points. Aditya, who graduated in Sociology and Anthropology from Easwari School of Liberal Arts, won gold in javelin with a best effort of 74.43 metres. Mubasina Muhammed, B. Com. student from Paari School of Business, won gold in the long jump with a leap of 6.15 metres.
Describing the gold medals as important milestones in the students’ lives, Director of Sports Vir Ji Koul congratulated the winners for their hard work and perseverance, which he said made them champions and brought glory to the university.
Vice Chancellor Ch. Satish Kumar appreciated the dedication, discipline and excellence of the student-athletes along with the consistent support and guidance of the coaches and trainers. Congratulating the winners for enhancing the reputation of the university, he said that SRM University-AP, with its holistic approach to education with a focus on academic, emotional and physical well-being, sets benchmarks for sporting excellence at the national and international levels.
