Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu had a busy schedule at his ancestral village Naravaripalle near Tirupati on Tuesday.
Although the Nara family had come to their native village to celebrate Sankranti, the Chief Minister attended many inaugurations of new projects and facilities on Tuesday.
Mr Naidu also attended the Sankranti celebrations, along with his wife Nara Bhuvaneswari, his son and Human Rights Minister Nara Lokesh and daughter-in-law Nara Brahmani among others.
After declaring the food basket program open, Mr. Naidu launched millet tiffins and inspected stalls selling snacks made from grains grown using natural farming methods.
The family members interacted with the villagers and conveyed Sankranti greetings to the general public. They watched ‘Rangolis’ paint all over the village and appreciated the women.

Mr. Naidu’s grandson and Mr. Lokesh’s son Nara Devansh joined the neighborhood children and participated in sports and games events including sack race, lemon and spoon, musical chairs.
Later, the Chief Minister presented the prizes to the winners of the competitions organized as part of the Sankranti celebrations.
Mr. Naidu attended the launch ceremony of the ₹126.06 crore project, which envisages bringing water from the Handri-Neeva diversion canal to the Kalyani dam and filling the Mulapalle, Kantimadugu, Venkatrayuni Cheruvu and Nagapatla reservoirs.
Mr. Naidu also inaugurated the road laid at a cost of ₹ 77 lakhs which connected the Seshachala Lingeswara Swamy Temple with the A. Rangampeta – Bhimavaram main road.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated a skill development center built at a cost of ₹1.4 crore, a 33/11 kv semi-indoor substation worth ₹4.27 crore, a community health center at Naravaripalle that was upgraded from 30 beds to 50 beds, a patient facility complex and a 4-cost government hospital at SVR.₂ He announced the expansion of the Sanjeevani project, a public health initiative, to Chittoor district.
MLAs Pulivarthi Nani (Chandragiri), Arani Srinivasulu (Tirupati), Kalikiri Muralimohan (Puthalapattu), TUDA Chairman C. Divakar Reddy and Collector S. Venkateswar were among those present during the programmes.
The Chief Minister gave his ‘Bhogi’ greeting to the public.
