Traffic diversions announced in parts of Bengaluru for Muharram procession on June 26
The Bengaluru Traffic Police has announced traffic diversions in parts of the city in connection with the Muharram celebrations scheduled for June 26. The diversions will be in force from 11:00 am to 5:30 pm in Ashok Nagar traffic police station limits to facilitate smooth movement of processions and ensure public safety.
According to the traffic advisory, motorists traveling towards Hosur Road via Brigade Road and Richmond Road via Vellara Junction (Shoolay Circle) will not be able to proceed directly. They should turn left at Old Police Station Junction and travel via Wood Street, Tate Lane and Richmond Road to reach Richmond Circle. From there they can proceed via Shantinagar Junction, Langford Road, Nanjappa Circle and CMP Junction towards Hosur Road.
Vehicles traveling on Hosur Road from Adugodi side should turn left at Cross Cemetery near Anepalya Junction and proceed via Berlie Street, Langford Road, Nanjappa Circle and Shantinagar. Alternatively, motorists can use Rhenius Street to reach Richmond Road and continue towards their destination.
Heavy vehicles coming from Hosur Road side will be diverted via Adugodi Junction, MICO Junction, 8th Main Road, Wilson Garden Main Road and Siddaiah Road before proceeding to their destinations.
