Indian fast bowler Akash deep Singh on tying the knot in Varanasi

Indian pacer Akash Deep is gearing up for a new shift off the field as he is set to tie the knot with Akshita Raj in Varanasi. Ahead of the wedding, his native village of Baddi in Rohtas district of Bihar turned into a festive and traditional ceremony and the celebrations attracted family members, friends and well-wishers from across the region.

On the day of the wedding, Akash Deep’s baraat will travel from the village to a five-star hotel in Varanasi, where the ceremony will take place in the presence of family members, relatives and invited guests.

He is tying the knot with Akshita Raj, a resident of Manikpur in Dehri, who belongs to a local family and is the daughter of Amit Singh. According to family members, the marriage was arranged with the consent of both families and was conducted in accordance with traditional customs.

Akash Deep’s mother shares her happiness

Wedding festivities took over the household and Akash Deep’s mother Laddooma Devi expressed her joy before the ceremony.

“My son is a traditional Indian young man and he has chosen an Indian woman as his life partner. This marriage is taking place with the family’s blessing and approval,” she said.

The atmosphere in Baddi village was festive with relatives and neighbors joining in the celebrations. Traditional wedding songs echoed through the household while pre-wedding ceremonies like mehendi and haldi were performed.

Deep Dances of Akash at Tilak Ceremony

Before the wedding, Akash Deep was seen enjoying himself at the tilak ceremony where videos of the Indian pacer dancing to Bhojpuri songs went viral on social media.

The cricketer reportedly spent hours celebrating with childhood friends and guests while Bhojpuri singers and artistes entertained the gathering. Villagers described the event as a “Tilak Utsav” rather than a conventional tilak ceremony, given the scale of the celebrations.

Best known for his feats with the ball for India, Akash Deep surprised many with his energetic dance moves on stage. Video footage of the event showed the fast bowler enthusiastically participating in the festivities as villagers gathered to witness the celebrations.

With the wedding just around the corner, excitement continues to build in Baddi village as one of Bihar’s most prominent sports figures prepares to start a new chapter in his life.
