The assembly was interrupted by a sine wave

The Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly was adjourned without death by Speaker JCD Prabhakar on Tuesday after Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay’s reply to Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar’s vote of thanks to Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar in the House of Representatives.

Speaker of the House and Minister for Revenue and Disaster Management KA Sengottaiyan had earlier moved a resolution to adjourn the House without adjournment and it was passed.

The first meeting of the Assembly of the TVK-led Cabinet after Mr. Vijay assumed the office of Chief Minister and won the trust vote began with the Governor’s address on June 18. On June 19, the Assembly unanimously passed a resolution against the Karnataka government’s proposal to build a buffer tank across the Cauvery at Mekedat.

Several members of the House spoke on the motion of thanks in the governor’s address during the June 19-22 session.
