The left-handed batsman has quickly become one of the most talked about young talents in world cricket.

“He’s got it all” – Široky impressed by rapid rise

Speaking on the For the Love of Cricket podcast, Broad was full of praise for the teenager’s explosive rise and fearless approach.“He’s got it all, hasn’t he? He’s got it all. He’s even getting into sledding now. OK, cricket is too easy. 11 balls. It’s crazy. I’m sure you’re probably not hoping, but I’m doing the first T20 in Durham against India, what is it, do I really hope he plays on July 1? … I think I just hope he plays? be star-struck by him,” Broad said.He also highlighted the talks in the cricket circles which further fueled the excitement around the youngster.“And you know what? It’s not just us buying into the hype. I mean, obviously you’ve seen him, you’ve stuck with him. I spent a week with Dinesh Karthik, who’s one of the coaches, the assistant coach at RCB. And of course I’m like, seriously, what do you think of this guy? He’s seriously incredible, how incredible.” it is,” he added, speaking to fellow panelist Jos Buttler.Broad noted that much of the UK had only seen the best and heard “whispers” of Sooryavanshi’s talent, raising anticipation ahead of his potential debut on English soil.“Obviously in this side of England, people are really hearing the whispers and seeing great bits of footage. But to hear guys who see him week in and week out, this kid is on another level,” he said.

Buttler lives up to the hype as England prepare for the challenge

Former England white-ball captain Jos Buttler also acknowledged the extraordinary impact Sooryavanshi made at such a young age.“Listen to that. Hit an 11-ball 50 for India A, the fastest half-century in the history of List A 50-over-50 cricket. So he’s at it again,” Buttler said.“It’s something we’ve never seen before… he’s worried about how many records and stuff he’s ticking off so quickly. So yeah, we’ll have to shut him up as an England side in those T20S. No, he’s on another level. Absolutely. And pretty cool actually,” he added.
