India are set to tour Bangladesh for a white-ball series in August-September 2026, with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirming the rescheduled dates while unveiling a packed domestic international calendar for the season.
Bangladesh will host India for three ODIs and three T20Is, with the Indian team scheduled to arrive on August 28. The white-ball tour, originally scheduled to take place from 17 to 31 August 2025, has been postponed by a year. As per the revised itinerary, the ODI series will be played on September 1, 3 and 6, followed by T20Is on September 9, 12 and 13. The Indian team will return home after the conclusion of the T20I series.
“The series that was postponed earlier between Bangladesh and India has been rescheduled,” BCB head of cricket operations Shahriar Nafees told Cricbuzz.
The India series forms part of Bangladesh’s 2026 domestic schedule, which includes bilateral matches against Pakistan, New Zealand, Australia and the West Indies across all three formats.
“The confirmed itinerary ensures a packed season of international cricket in Bangladesh and provides fans across the country the opportunity to watch top-level cricket at home, while details of the match venues will be announced in due course,” BCB said in a statement.
Bangladesh’s domestic season will begin in March, following the Men’s T20 World Cup, with Pakistan touring for a three-match ODI series from March 12-16. Pakistan will return in May for a two-Test series scheduled from May 8-12 and May 16-20 as part of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC).
New Zealand will tour Bangladesh in April-May where they will be fully committed to the white ball, starting with three ODIs from April 17, followed by three T20Is from April 27 to May 2. Australia will arrive in June for a similar white-ball tour, starting with three ODIs from June 5, followed by three T20Is between June 15 and 20.
A postponed visit to India will follow later in the season before Bangladesh wrap up their domestic calendar with a two-Test series against the West Indies in October-November, also part of the WTC. The Tests will be preceded by a three-day warm-up match from October 22-24, with the Tests scheduled for October 28-November 1 and November 5-9.
Apart from the internationals, Sri Lanka A will tour Bangladesh for two four-dayers and three one-dayers in May 2026 as BCB prepares for one of its busiest domestic seasons, featuring four Tests, 12 ODIs and nine T20Is.
