Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) Vice Chairman and Managing Director Ch Dwaraka Tirumala Rao on Thursday said that 1,500 electric buses will soon be inducted into the fleet of the public transport organization and charging infrastructure will be created for smooth operation of e-buses.
Addressing the New Year celebrations at RTC House in Vijayawada, Mr. Rao said the focus was on improving passenger comfort and modernizing bus stations and depots. He expressed confidence that APSRTC will achieve further growth in the new year through teamwork and commitment.
Appreciating the dedicated efforts of the employees in the successful implementation of the Stree Shakti scheme, Mr. Rao said that the commitment of the employees has strengthened the confidence of the government in APSRTC.
Urging the employees to continue working with the same determination, he said that the collective efforts of the employees have led to improved performance of the organization and highlighted measures for employee welfare, including long-pending promotions, clearance of dues and alternative job opportunities for ineligible employees through GO.
