Anticipating the arrival of a large number of devotees at Chamundi Hills on January 1, which marks the beginning of the new year 2026, Deputy Commissioner G. Lakshmikanth Reddy instructed officials to make all necessary arrangements for the occasion.
Mr. Reddy, who presided over a meeting of city officials on December 30, pointed out that the Lalitha Sahasranama program is scheduled for January 2 at Chamundi Hills. This will be followed by the weekend of January 3 and 4.

He also told them to ensure smooth movement of vehicles and adequate parking arrangements without any inconvenience.
