NSK Umesh will be the Chief Minister of Kerala on special duty

The General Administration Department has issued orders appointing NSK Umesh, Director of General Education, as Additional Secretary and Officer on Special Services (OSD) to the Chief Minister of Kerala.

Mr. Umesh, a 2015 batch Kerala cadre IAS officer, was earlier serving as Ernakulam District Collector. Currently, he has the additional responsibility of being the Managing Director of the Kerala Finance Corporation.

The government order stated that Mr. Umesh would continue to hold the post of director of general education until another person was appointed.
