Various parts of Telangana continue to record single-digit temperatures, though the cold wave warning has not been in force for the past few days. In its bulletin on Thursday (December 25), the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said minimum temperatures are likely to be 3-4 degrees below normal in isolated pockets over the next two days.
The lowest temperature of 6.9°C was recorded in Tiryani of Kumaram Bheem Asifabad between Wednesday and Thursday morning, according to the Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS). It was followed by 7.4°C in Kohir of Sangareddy and 8.5°C in Moinabad of Ranga Reddy. The lowest temperature recorded so far this winter was 4.5°C from December 20 to 22. TGDPS meteorologists had earlier said that cold conditions are likely to ease in the state by December 27.
