The minister calls for the integration of yoga into everyday life

The 12th International Yoga Day celebration was organized in the country in front of Suvarna Soudha in Belagavi on Sunday.
The event was inaugurated by Union Minister Prahlad Joshi.
“Yoga has an important role in the field of medicine. By doing yoga exercises daily, we can get rid of diseases in our body and keep our mind calm,” he said.
The event was organized in collaboration with the District Administration, Zilla Panchayat, Belagavi Mahanagara Palike and District AYUSH Department.
Mr. Joshi said practicing yoga, an ancient Indian practice, is very necessary to maintain good health in today’s changing modern lifestyle.
“Yoga is essential for achieving excellence in our daily work in a competitive lifestyle and having proper knowledge of yoga postures is equally important. On the recommendation of the Union Government, the United Nations has declared June 21 as the International Day of Yoga,” he said.
“It is a significant day according to the Vedas and Upanishads. Yoga, which has a history of 5,000 years, has been adopted by more than 140 countries. Yoga is called the golden ring because it is practiced in a certain part of the world at any time,” he said.
Mr. Joshi urged everyone to incorporate yoga in their daily routine and move forward to build sound health and a strong nation.
MLA Abhay Patil, Mayor Preeti Kamakar, Deputy Mayor Hanumatha Kongali, Deputy Commissioner Mohammed Roshan, Commissioner of Police Boras Bhushan Gulabarao, Commissioner of Police K. Ramarajan, Director General ZP Rahul Shindhe, Corporation Commissioner Karthika M., Trainee IAS Officer Rohit Singh from various schools Srikanth and students of AYUS district, AYUS district students Yoga supporters attended.
International Yoga Trainer Aarti Sankeshwari, International Yoga Masters Satyam and Gayatri demonstrated various yoga postures and explained their importance. Later, students from different schools presented cultural programs.
