HYDERABAD
Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Power and Finance Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka approved a proposal to fix Dearness Allowance (DA) at 17.651% for employees of power companies in the power department.
It will benefit 71,387 employees, artisans and pensioners of Telangana Power Generation Corporation, Transmission Corporation, Southern Power Distribution Company and Northern Power Distribution Company. The additional monthly financial burden on power companies after DA enhancement will be ₹ 9.39 crore per month.
According to the Deputy Chief Minister’s Office, the Dearness Allowance (DA) / Debt Relief (DR) is reviewed and released every year in January and July based on the Consumer Price Index and market price growth. As part of this process, the DA/DR has been fixed at 17.651% and will be implemented retroactively from July 1, 2025.
