YSRCP asks Pawan Kalyan to withdraw his remarks and answer questions regarding Sai Krishna’s death

YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) State SC Cell president and former MLA TJR Sudhakar Babu on Sunday slammed Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan and demanded that he withdraw his recent remarks against the YSRCP and answer questions regarding the death of Sai Krishna and the alleged custodial death case in Vijayawada.

Addressing a press conference at the YSRCP headquarters in Tadepalli, Mr. Sudhakar Babu said that it was not appropriate for Mr. Pawan Kalyan, who holds the constitutional post of Deputy Chief Minister, to make what he termed as irresponsible comments against the opposition party.

He alleged that the state government was trying to divert public attention from the controversy surrounding the death of Sai Krishna and the subsequent suicide of Kranti Kumar. Seeking to shed light on the circumstances that led to Sai Krishna’s death, he urged the government to identify the police personnel allegedly involved and ensure that they face an impartial legal investigation.

Defending YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s visit to Sai Krishna’s family, Mr. Sudhakar Babu said the opposition leader had only extended support to the family, which is grieving the loss of a loved one and seeking justice. He argued that such gestures should not be politicized.

Mr. Sudhakar Babu called for an impartial probe into both the Sai Krishna death case and the Kranti Kumar suicide case, alleging that the ruling coalition was shirking responsibility. He said that YSRCP will continue to deal with the issue until justice is served and those responsible are brought to book.
