Modern digital studio for EMRC, Osmania University

Osmania University (OU) Vice-Chancellor Kumar Molugaram inaugurated the newly developed, state-of-the-art digital studio at the Educational Multimedia Research Center (EMRC) on Sunday.

The facility was inaugurated in the presence of Parikshat Singh Manhas, Director, Educational Communication Consortium (CEC), New Delhi, Jitendra Kumar Tripathi, Joint Secretary ofc.

The UGC has announced a grant of ₹50 lakh for the renovation of the 30-year-old building.

On the occasion, officials released a book “Re-envisioning Higher Education in Digital Era… Towards Viksit Bharat 2047” containing 45 selected research papers from the national conference organized by OU EMRC. They also unveiled posters featuring the 11 online SWAYAM courses CEC-EMRC OU is offering for the July semester and inspected the various academic production modules at the centre.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Molugaram encouraged them to actively develop Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), saying they would help address teacher shortages and ensure uniform and high-quality education across the country.

Mr. Manhas praised the OU EMRC as one of the top performing EMRCs among 20 centers nationwide and ensured continued support for research projects and MOOCs.

EMRC Director P. Raghupathi, Officer on Special Duty Jitendra Kumar Nayak and UGC Affairs Dean B. Lavanya were among those present.
