Amara Raja Group, a $2 billion global conglomerate with a presence in various industries, celebrated its 40th foundation day in Tirupati on Saturday. Founded in 1985 as Amara Raja Power Systems, the group has now transformed with six companies, 17 businesses and over 21,000 employees.
As part of its foundation day celebrations, the group announced the winners of the Amara Raja Better Way Awards to continue its legacy of providing better access to better opportunities. At the event, three rural entrepreneurs were selected to receive a cash prize of ₹3,000 along with annual support.
“This year’s theme, ‘Forever Through Time’, is a true reflection of our resilient and agile story. It’s not just about celebrating milestones, it’s also about looking forward, even as the world changes faster than ever. Over the past 40 years, we’ve redefined the industries we operate in and are moving forward with greater success,” said Jayadev Amara Galla, Chairman, Amara Galla Group.
Founder and Chairman Amara Raja Ramachandra Naidu Galla, co-founders Galla Aruna Kumari, Ramadevi Gourineni, Managing Directors Amara Raja Harshavardhan Gourineni, Vikramadithya Gourineni and top management of the group including Chief Operating Officer Narasimhulu Naidu attended the celebrations.
