The no-confidence motion moved by the Congress against the BJP government in Haryana was defeated by a voice vote after opposition party MLAs staged a strike in the State Assembly.
The Congress members, led by Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda, alleged that Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini had not given a satisfactory answer to the various questions raised by them in their motion.
CM Saini said that even in February 2024, the Congress staged a walkout after moving a no-confidence motion. They made allegations and then ran away, the Chief Minister told the rally.
In the absence of Congress MLAs, the Speaker put the motion to vote, which was rejected after a five-hour long debate that lasted till 10.15 pm.
