IndiGo and Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport issued a travel advisory early Saturday morning due to dense fog near the airports that could affect flight services.
IndiGo said: “Low visibility and fog over #Ranchi, #Jammu and #Hindon (airports) may affect flight schedules. We are monitoring the weather closely and doing our best to get you where you need to be safely and smoothly.”
The airline asked flyers to be informed of the status of their flight. They can go to the page and get the update. “We assure you that our teams are here to help you every step of the way and provide full support,” IndiGo said in an X post on Saturday.
“We look forward to clearer skies and a quick return to our regular schedule. Thank you for your patience and understanding,” it added.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation issues guidelines for airlines
The Civil Aviation Ministry on Friday said that in view of prevailing fog and low visibility conditions affecting flight operations, airlines have been directed to strictly adhere to passenger facilitation norms for the safety and comfort of passengers.
• Timely and accurate flight information
• Food and refreshments for longer delays
• Rebooking or refund in case of cancellation
• Prohibition of denial of boarding after early check-in
• Assistance for detours and for persons with disabilities (PWD)
• Timely refunds, baggage facilitation and effective redressal of complaints
DGCA is tasked with ensuring uniform implementation and close monitoring of compliance by all airlines. The safety and comfort of passengers remains the priority of the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
