A PE teacher from St Anne’s School was sentenced to five years in prison by a special Fast Track court in Medchal on Thursday (December 18, 2025) after he was found guilty of misbehaving with a Class 8 student on a school bus. The court also imposed a fine of ₹3,000 on the accused.
The accused has been identified as 35-year-old Dappulapudi Suresh. The case dates back to August 30, 2016, when students from St. Ann’s School traveled to Gachibowli for a sports meet accompanied by their teacher PT Suresh. He misbehaved with one of the students while traveling on the school bus.
Following a complaint against him, the Petbasheerabad police initiated a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act (POCSO). The verdict came after Special Public Prosecutor G. Prabhakar Reddy presented arguments with supporting evidence.
