An unidentified woman was killed after she was hit by an express train while crossing the railway line near the Ghatkesar-Yamnampet Outer Ring Road (ORR) bridge on the lower line on December 14, police said.
According to the Secunderabad Government Railway Police (GRP), the incident was reported before 10 am when a woman tried to cross the track and was hit by train number 12757, Kaghaznagar SF Express. She died on the spot as a result of the impact.
The woman is said to be between 40 and 45 years old. Her identity has not yet been established.
