Centurion University of Technology and Management (CUTM) founder Mukti Kanta Mishra and CUTM vice-president DN Rao on Sunday (December 14, 2025) said the setting up of a data center by Google, Cognizant and eight other information technology (IT) companies will provide huge job opportunities for youth in North Andhra districts.
Speaking to The Hindu at the CUTM campus in Vizianagaram, Mr. Mishra said that more than 30,000 jobs would be created just by setting up a hyperscale data center by Google in Visakhapatnam. He praised the Chandrababu Naidu government for getting Google to invest around $15 billion to set up a 1 GW data center in the port city.
Dr. Rao said the university would organize a mega skill conclave in the first week of February 2026 to enable the youth, parents and academicians to learn about the importance of acquiring new skills that would pave the way for students to get jobs quickly in Google, Cognizant and others.
Dr. Rao said that the Vizianagaram campus of the university has focused on various new courses like block chain technologies, cyber security and artificial intelligence to prepare the youth to meet the expectations of companies set up in Visakhapatnam and other places.
He said the university has provided jobs to nearly 6,000 youth who have successfully completed their courses at Vizianagaram, Bhubaneswar and other campuses of the university.
