DMDK general secretary Premallatha Vijayakant on Saturday said the party is yet to decide which alliance it will be part of in the 2026 assembly elections and will decide before a public meeting scheduled in Cuddalore on January 9.
Speaking to reporters, Ms. Premallatha said the DMDK had not reached the stage where it could announce an alliance. “All parties are friendly parties for us. We are working hard among the people. We have managed to form cabin committee members in all 68,000 cabins. Please wait till January 9 for the announcement,” she said.
When specifically asked whether the party had started talks with the INDIA bloc and the National Democratic Alliance, Ms Premallatha said: “We are friendly to everyone. But we have not started any specific talks on the alliance.”
