
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a cold wave warning for 10 districts of Telangana on Sunday.
According to the latest IMD bulletin, cold wave conditions are very likely to prevail in isolated pockets in Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancheiral, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Sangareddy, Medak and Kamareddy districts.
Hyderabad and its surroundings will be mostly clear for the next 24 hours. “Mist or fog is very likely to prevail during the morning or night hours. Minimum temperatures are likely to be 3°C to 4°C below normal during the next two days. Maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 30°C and 12°C,” the bulletin said.
Meanwhile, a total of 15 districts in the state recorded temperatures below 10°C between December 12 and 13, with Kohir in Sangareddy recording the lowest minimum temperature of 6.5°C, followed by 7.1°C in Tiryani – Kumaram Bhedy3°C Asifabad, 7°C, according to Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS) data. Mominpet – Vikarabad, 8.1 °C in Uppal – Medchal Malkajgiri, 8.2 °C in Yeldurthy – Medak, 8.3 °C in Kukunoorpally – Siddipet, 8.5 °C in Sonala – Adilabad, 8.6 °C in Gandhari – Kamareddy, °C – Naemray Kotapal-2, 9. Nirmal, 9.4 °C in Balmoor – Nagarkurnool, 9.7°C in Saloora – Nizamabad, 9.9°C in Mallapur – Jagtial and 10°C in Ramagiri – Peddapalli.
The remaining 18 districts recorded minimum temperatures between 10°C and 12°C. Bahadurpura in Hyderabad recorded 11.2°C.
