Mid-Christmas celebrations were held under the auspices of the Democratic Journalists’ Forum at the JD Seelam Bhavan premises in Ongola on Saturday. City mayor Gangada Sujatha attended as the chief guest while TDP leader Raj Vimal and prominent lawyer Nukathoti Ravikumar attended the function as special guests.
Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Sujatha said, “The birth of Jesus was to save mankind from sin. He is considered to be the embodiment of love, peace and service.” Meanwhile, Mr. Raj Vimal said that people believe in Jesus with utmost devotion and on the occasion of Christmas, prayers will be offered in every church along with devotional services.
