The coast guard detained a Pakistani fishing vessel that was operating within India’s maritime borders and arrested 11 crew members, officials said on Thursday (Dec 11, 2025).
According to authorities, the arrested fishermen were later taken to the Jakhau Marine Police Station in Gujarat for further investigation.
Gujarat Defense PRO said in a post on X that the Coast Guard intercepted the ship on Wednesday (December 10, 2025) inside India’s Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ). He noted that the operation reflects the force’s ongoing maritime patrol efforts and India’s commitment to protecting its maritime borders while abiding by international maritime regulations.
