Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy announced that Telangana has formulated its first-ever comprehensive road sector policy outlining long-term priorities and investment strategies for the next two decades.
“Telangana is poised to become a logistics powerhouse with the establishment of a world-class dry port that will enable access to global trade and boost industrial capacity,” he said at the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025 on Tuesday.
Welcoming global investors, industry leaders and policy experts, Mr. Komatireddy said the government’s development plan is guided by the Telangana Rising Vision 2047, which aims to transform the state into a major economic hub of South India and a globally competitive growth destination.
Stating that strong road networks are the backbone of a strong economy, he highlighted major projects including regional ring road with radial links, ₹11,399 crore Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) road projects and the proposed 8-lane Greenfield Expressway connecting the two capitals of the Telugu state with an elevated corridor to Srisailam.
The minister said that Telangana is also working to build a strong aviation ecosystem to support global business travel, logistics and tourism. After constructively engaging investors and experts, Mr. Komatireddy said, “Telangana is not only growing, it is growing.”
