Arshdeep Singh had a hilarious take on how Jasprit Bumrah can appear on his Instagram rolls, just like Virat Kohli did recently. Arshdeep’s social media game has been on point for the past few months, with Indian players constantly appearing in his entertaining videos after matches. Recently, Kohli was part of one such video after the third ODI against South Africa, which went viral for the star batter’s funny shout-out to the pacer.
During the Cuttack T20I, Arshdeep has finally found some company in the 100 T20I wickets club as Bumrah joined him after dismissing Dewald Brevis. Speaking to the broadcasters after the match, the pacer was asked how Bumrah can feature on his famous Instagram reels.
Arshdeep joked that Bumrah still needs to work on his bowling and take wickets and then he might allow him in the video.
“Jassi bhai still needs to get some more wickets to feature on my Instagram. So if he keeps working on it and takes wickets, he might feature on my Instagram too,” Arshdeep said.
Both men took two goals each India beat South Africa by 101 runs take a 1-0 lead in the series.
BUMRAH: GENTLE SENIOR
Arshdeep said that Bumrah is a gentle senior who is never harsh on youngsters. He said that since both are Punjabi, they easily offended each other.
“The relationship with him is very nice. I’d say he’s a gentle senior. He’s never too hard on any of the young people that come in and he’s very polite to them.”
“So I would say the relationship is very nice and we are also Punjabi so it is really easy to connect with him,” said Arshdeep.
Bumrah and Arshdeep have worked as a pair for 14 matches so far and have taken 47 wickets between them. Arshdeep said it was because they tried to attack him because they knew Bumrah wouldn’t get away much and it allows him to take wickets.
“It’s great to play alongside him because most of the time players try to attack my bowling and I’m always in it to get some wickets because even on good balls they try to hit me because on the other hand they know Bumrah won’t give easy runs. So it’s a benefit for me too and I love it,” said Arshdeep.
India and South Africa will play in the second T20I on December 11.
