Telangana Overseas Manpower Company (TOMCOM) on Monday signed two Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) at the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025 aimed at enhancing international job paths for candidates from the state.
Under an MoU with Global Workforce Development, an initiative of Apollo Hospitals, GWD has proposed a collaboration to boost Telangana’s nursing and healthcare talent. As part of the partnership, GWD will support candidates through specialized upskilling, structured language training and globally aligned certification programs.
The aim is to facilitate overseas employment opportunities in Germany, Japan, the UK, Australia and other countries where skilled health professionals are in high demand, the Labor Employment Training and Factories department said in a report.
The second MoU involves a proposal by Nexwave GmbH, Germany, offering 350 Warehouse Associate positions for English-speaking candidates with basic educational qualifications such as ITI, diploma or degree. This opportunity includes a competitive gross salary of €2,100, comprehensive pre-departure advice, flexible processing and travel payment options and full support throughout the recruitment cycle. Selected candidates will receive accommodation, onboarding assistance and 5-day on-the-job training upon arrival in Germany. Visa processing under this proposal is estimated to take 8-10 weeks, ensuring a streamlined transition for qualified candidates.
The ministry said that under PM-SETU (Pradhan Mantri Skill, Employment & Transformation through upgradation of ITI), 13 MoUs have been signed with 13 companies to improve business with ITIs by imparting training in their industries as part of the CSR initiative. As part of this, training of trainers (TOT) and on-the-job training for trainees are planned.
At the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025, the department organized a panel session on ‘Gig Economy: Rise of Fluid Careers’ chaired by Labor Minister G. Venkataswamy. From global trends and principles of fair work for the platform economy; field realities of gig work – evidence, challenges and policy solutions; challenges faced by aggregators/platforms, skills gaps and initiatives; main features in the new social security code; and Telangana draft Gig Workers Bill was discussed.
TOMCOM organized a panel session on “Global Talent Paths – Telangana Workforce for the World”.
