“Shubman Gill has successfully completed his rehabilitation at the CoE and met the required criteria to be declared fit for all formats of the game,” said a statement from the Center of Excellence’s Sports Science and Medicine (SSM) team, which includes physiotherapist Kamlesh Jain, strength and conditioning coach Adrian Le Roux and sports physician Dr Charles.The injury occurred as a result of a cervical spine injury on the second day of the Kolkata Test, which led to Gill being hospitalized for several days and receiving an injection.Although he missed the ongoing ODI series, his availability for the T20Is was confirmed after he completed rehabilitation and successfully underwent skills training – including batting, fielding and match simulations – at the Center of Excellence.The players, who are only part of the T20I squad, will assemble in Cuttack on Saturday, with their first training session scheduled for Sunday.
