President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social that he has approved the production of “small cars” in the United States, calling them “cheap, safe, fuel efficient and simply AWESOME!!!
Trump said manufacturers have long wanted to produce small cars domestically, similar to models successfully produced in other countries. He emphasized that these vehicles can be powered by gasoline, electric or hybrid systems.
“I just approved making TINY CARS in America,” Trump wrote. “Manufacturers have wanted to do this for a long time, just as it has been done so successfully in other countries.”
Trump thanked the Department of Justice, the Department of Transportation and the Department of the Environment for supporting the initiative. He urged manufacturers to start production immediately.
