
Hyderabad: The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Thursday received a bomb threat email regarding the arrival of Indigo from Sharjah, prompting authorities to activate standard security protocols after the aircraft landed, sources said.
Flight 6E 1422 landed safely here at 3:15 p.m., they said. “On December 4, 2025, a bomb threat email for Sharjah-Hyderabad flight 6E 1422 was received at Hyderabad airport customer support ID at 2:00 pm. The flight landed safely in Hyderabad at 3:15 pm. Standard security protocols were initiated,” sources told PTI. Standard security protocols include, but are not limited to, isolating the aircraft, screening baggage and passengers, keeping fire trucks on standby, and deploying sniffer dogs.
The incident is the second bomb threat the airport has received on Thursday. The first threat targeted the Madina–Hyderabad IndiGo flight, which was diverted to Ahmedabad airport.
