The minister assures the groundnut farmers that there will be sufficient supply of seeds in this year’s kharif season

The government will soon take steps to ensure adequate supply of groundnut seeds to farmers for the Kharif season, said Transport, Sports and Youth Services Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy.

Talking to the media on Friday (June 19, 2026), the Minister said that the state government is closely following the demands of the farmers to initiate proactive measures to quickly resolve emerging issues.

Reiterating that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has accorded top priority to farmers’ welfare, the minister directed officials to ensure that essential agricultural inputs reach farmers on time. “Since the Kharif season has already started, we are taking the issue of groundnut seed availability with utmost seriousness,” he added.

He noted that the government is proceeding cautiously and with a planned strategy to meet the demands of all farmers. He said coordination with the concerned departments was underway and seed distribution would be expedited in the next two to three days.
