Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu along with HRD Minister Nara Lokesh will attend a grand Parent Teacher Meet (PTM) at AP Model School in Bhamini mandal of Parvathipuram-Manyam district on December 5.
The government has issued guidelines to be followed for the successful conduct of such large-scale parent-teacher meetings in schools and junior colleges across the state.
School management committee members and teachers were asked to prepare invitations, invite parents and guardians, and upload invitee details and photos of invitation moments to the LEAP app. The school management was instructed to use the school’s grant funds for the activities.
Director of School Education V Vijay Rama Raju said in a statement on Wednesday: “School campuses should be decorated to create a festive atmosphere, with proper planning of seating arrangements and refreshments.”
Mr. Rama Raju further added that school campuses and premises must be cleaned and physical activities and games should be conducted. Teachers should explain student learning outcomes to parents in a holistic progress chart format and through an assessment booklet. Parents will be informed about various initiatives implemented in the schools like mid day meal programme, Atal Tinkering Labs, Jilelm Labs, arts and crafts activities, access to books, sports kits, self defense programs and other initiatives.
Videos related to guaranteed FLN (Basic Literacy and Numeracy) and awareness programs on good and bad touch, child abuse, school development and other topics will be uploaded on mobile phones to raise awareness among parents.
Suggestions and feedback from parents and invitees will be recorded and school development action plans will be prepared accordingly. He asked parents, education enthusiasts and public representatives to actively participate and ensure the success of the programme.
