IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu on Tuesday held a high-level review meeting on arrangements for the Telangana Rising Global Summit to be held at Future City near Hyderabad next week.
Officials have been instructed to complete all the works by December 5 and conduct a full test drive on December 6, the minister’s office said after a meeting at the summit venue attended by Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao and several senior officials from various departments and police officers.
Mr. Sridhar Babu emphasized the need to ensure that the summit is organized in a manner that will attract global attention and enhance Telangana’s international brand image. The minister personally inspected the ground arrangements and provided instructions, suggestions and inputs to the officials concerned, his office said.
He emphasized that all departments must work in close coordination and ensure that there is no room for even the smallest lapses. A review of responsibilities and progress in individual departments was also carried out. The officials were directed to extend the highest standards of hospitality to the delegates coming from other countries and states and ensure that they do not face any inconvenience.
Special emphasis was laid on parking arrangements, logistics, hospitality and hygiene during the meeting to ensure that the event was conducted on a world-class level, Mr. Sridhar Babu’s office said.
