US Vice President JD Vance has postponed a planned trip to Switzerland, where talks on the next steps of the US-Iran deal aimed at ending the war in the Middle East were scheduled for Friday, June 19, AFP reported, citing the White House.

The postponement comes at a time of logistical challenges to the talks and uncertainty over Iran’s participation.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei said on June 18 that he had approved the deal despite reservations, even as the United States lifted its blockade of Iranian ports.
