An 18-year-old engineering student died after an unfortunate fall from a high-rise apartment in Sanathnagar on Wednesday evening (November 26). The deceased has been identified as Deepika Choudhary, a first-year B.Tech student residing in Kalpataru Residency, a gated community in the area.
According to the police, Deepika was known to often sit by the window of her family’s 10th floor apartment. She was said to have been eating while sitting by the window on Wednesday evening when she slipped and fell to the ground. Emergency services were called, but she succumbed to her injuries.
A case was registered based on a family complaint. After the autopsy, the body was handed over to them. Both the police and the family have confirmed that foul play is not suspected.
