Vidya Vikas Institute of Engineering and Technology (VVIET) Graduation Day was held in the city on Saturday and 140 boys and 142 girls received their diploma after completing their respective courses.
Undergraduate Suman CS of Computer Science Engineering; Chandana N. of Electronics and Communication Engineering; Kishore YA of Electrical and Electronics Engineering; Charitra AN from Information Science and Engineering and Ullas R. from Civil Engineering were felicitated by the VVIET management on the occasion.
Dilip Krishnaswamy, Director, C-DOT, Bengaluru, delivered the graduation address. He acknowledged concerns about the rise of artificial intelligence and assured students that artificial intelligence is not a threat to their work, but a tool that can be used in their work.
He encouraged them to become experts in areas that truly excite them and to meaningfully integrate artificial intelligence into those areas.
Mr. Krishnaswamy said graduation did not mean the end of learning but a new beginning in life. He urged the recent graduates to embrace lifelong learning, personal growth and the constant pursuit of excellence as they enter a new chapter in their lives. Krishnaswamy reminded the graduates that learning extends far beyond the classroom.
”As you move forward in your career or higher education, strive to constantly improve and instead of comparing yourself to others, strive to become a better individual compared to yourself in the past,” he added.
He stressed the importance of following your passion, remaining adaptable and seeing life’s challenges as opportunities for growth. According to him, enjoying the journey is as important as reaching the destination.
MV Ritesh Gowda, Chairman, VVET, said the years spent at Vidya Vikas brought knowledge, resilience and the ability to solve problems creatively.
”Graduation marks a turning point full of new challenges and opportunities and you should use your skills to contribute to national development and remain connected to the institution as responsible alumni,” he added.
Director Karibasappa Kwadiki, VVIET staff and others were present.
