“I think it’s exciting, isn’t it? It’s exciting for the locals when the two living legends come back and play on Indian soil for a while,” Bavuma said in a video shared by Star Sports on Instagram on Saturday. He emphasized the special atmosphere created by the presence of Indian devotees. “So it’s exciting for us to be part of a different type of energy when these two big guys are around. So that’s something we’re going to look forward to,” Bavuma added. As for South Africa’s strategy against the experienced Indian duo, Bavuma maintained a professional approach. “I think like all the other players we’ll prepare around them, we’ll come up with whatever tactics we come up with. But we know the energy will be a little bit different, but it’s exciting,” he said. The South African captain also discussed his leadership approach to the series. “From a captain’s point of view, I don’t think much has changed on my side. I think obviously you want to lead with the bat and then you want to lead the boys tactically on the field. So nothing really, I don’t think much has changed,” he explained.
