Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to attend the 60th All India Conference of Director Generals/Inspectors General of Police in Raipur between November 29-30, 2025, according to an official PMO announcement on Thursday, November 27, 2025.
The Police Conference is scheduled to be held at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur, Chhattisgarh, from November 28 to 30, 2025. The conference aims to review progress in addressing key policing challenges and chart a future outlook towards the goal of ‘Surakshit Bharat’.
What is the conference about?
The three-day conference will discuss the theme ‘Viksit Bharat: Security Dimension’ where police leaders along with Prime Minister Modi will discuss key security issues in detail.
These key security topics will range from left-wing extremism, counter-terrorism, disaster management, women’s safety and the use of forensic science and artificial intelligence (AI) in policing, according to an official announcement.
The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) also disclosed that Prime Minister Modi will also award Presidential Police Medals for Distinguished Service.
“The conference provides an essential interactive platform for senior police leaders and security administrators from across the country to engage in open and meaningful exchanges on a wide range of national security issues,” the PMO said in a press statement.
Who will attend the conference?
Along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Union Home Minister, National Security Advisor, Ministers of State (Home Affairs), DGPs of States/UTs and heads of central police organizations will also attend the key security conference.
The annual conference aims to create an environment encouraging frank discussion where new ideas about policing can be shared directly with Prime Minister Modi on critical homeland security and policy issues.
According to the PMO statement, heads of state/UT home ministries and some police officers at the DIG and SP level will also physically attend the conference this year.
