“Palash is much more related to his uncle… The two are closer than Smriti,” she told Hindustan Times, describing how deeply Palash is connected to Shrinivas Mandhana. “When he had to do it, the Smriti-filled Palash decided not to go until uncle recovered. According to her, even before Smriti, it was Palash who insisted that the wedding must be stopped until her father recovered.Amita recounted the scary moments leading up to the hospitalization: “Rote rote ek dum tabiyat kharab ho gai… stress bahut hai. They had to keep him in the hospital for four hours. chadi infusion, EKG hua, aur doosre tests hoye. Sab normal aaye but the stress was just too much,” she said. As the haldi ceremony had already taken place, Palash’s family asked him to stay home – but he was overcome by emotional pressure.The couple was supposed to get married in Sangli on November 23, but everything changed when Smriti’s father, Shrinivas, suddenly fell ill and was rushed to Sarvhit Hospital. Doctors later told ANI that his symptoms were probably triggered by “physical or mental stress” from the hectic wedding preparations.Amita described how joyful the previous day was, “Ek din phele bahut kiya… Instagram pe Stories dal rahe the. But when we planned the baraat, he suddenly felt discomfort. Before he told me… when I woke up, I called an ambulance.”All that was left was the pheras when the families realized they had no choice but to postpone the wedding.“Smriti and Palash dono takleef mein hain… Palash dreamed of returning home with his bride. I even planned a special welcome,” she said, adding that she had canceled all remaining events on November 24.Despite the emotional setback, Amita remains hopeful: “Everything will be fine… shaadi bohot jaldi hogi.”
