The Bharatiya Janata Party has announced protests against the Congress government in the state, accusing it of implementing anti-agricultural policies.
Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Assembly R. Ashok said on Monday that the party would stage protests at the assembly constituency level on November 27 and 28 and at the district headquarters on December 1 and 2.
“Farmers across the state are suffering. They are yet to get relief for crop loss due to recent floods. Government is not yet ready to open maize shopping centres. Farmers in Alamatti belt are suffering without water for second crop as government has failed to store water properly. Tungabhadra dam crest gate repairs are going on at a snail’s pace,” Mr. Ashok influences alleged farmers.
