Belagavi-based Karnataka Law Society’s Gogte Institute of Technology (KLS GIT) celebrated its ninth graduation on Saturday.
Director, IISc, Bengaluru, Govindan Rangarajan addressed the students and gave them an insight into nonlinear dynamics and scientific innovation in modern times.
First batch (1984) civil engineering graduate, eminent industrialist, chairman of Ramky Group and member of Rajya Sabha, Alla Ayodhya Rami Reddy urged the students to make the most of emerging opportunities in research, entrepreneurship and industrial collaboration.
Degrees and medals were awarded to more than 1220 students including rank holders in BE, B.Arch, M.Tech, MBA and MCA programmes.
The event began with a ceremonial procession of dignitaries. Board Chairman Rajendra Belgaumkar welcomed the gathering and Principal MS Patil presented the report of the college highlighting the institutional achievements.
Karnataka Law Society Chairman, AK Tagare, President Pradeep S. Sawkar and others spoke.
Management committee members RB Bhandare, DV Kulkarni, VM Deshpande and SV Ganachari and others were present.
