National award-winning musician Babuji Mahadev Naikodi passed away in Vijayapur on Sunday. He was 87.
He trained in Hindustani classical music as a flute player and performed for nearly six decades.
He gave solo performances and was part of orchestras. He retired as a public school teacher.
He was also a music teacher and trained youngsters from Vijayapura and surrounding areas.
He performed in several events which were telecasted on All India Radio and telecast on Doordarshan.
The last rites will be held on Monday in Vijayapur.
