West Godavari Combined District Judge S. Sridevi announced that eligible candidates are invited to apply for temporary appointment to the vacant posts of Special Judicial Magistrate Second Class in erstwhile West Godavari District.
There are currently four vacancies. Aspirants can submit their applications in the prescribed format along with attested copies of qualification certificates and three recent passport size photographs.
Applications should reach the office of the District Magistrate, West Godavari District, Eluru by 5:00 PM on December 12.
In a press release, the District Magistrate noted that the selected candidates will be paid a monthly honorarium of ₹45,000. Eligible applicants include retired or resigned officers from the Andhra Pradesh State Judicial Service; individuals from the Andhra Pradesh Judicial Ministerial Service in the cadre of Superintendent (Category 3) holding a law degree; Officers of the Andhra Pradesh High Court Service of the rank of Section Officer or above with a degree in Law; and lawyers with at least five years of experience. Candidates who have passed the criminal justice test covering IPC and CrPC, those who have qualified in the APPSC examination on Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023 and Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita 2023 and retired officers with a law degree are also eligible, provided they have exercised Master’s powers for at least three years. Court clerks will be given priority in the selection process.
Applicants must also meet the age criteria, which means they should be at least 18 months away from reaching the age range of 45 to 65 on the date of notification. A detailed notice has been displayed at Eluru District Court, East and West Godavari District Collectorate offices, Special Judicial Magistrate Second Class offices and local bar association notice boards.
