
The cricket world cup champions were all spotted together again on Friday, but in shades of yellow instead of the usual blue. Decked out in yellow for her Haldi ceremony, Smriti Mandhana hit the dance floor as she grooved to the dhol beat with the ‘team bride’. Decorated in shades of yellow, the venue radiated joy as Mandhana laughed, danced and was drenched in the moment.
The viral video also shows Shafali Verma, Arundhati Reddy, Shreyanka Patil, Renuka Singh Thakur, Radha Yadav, Rich Ghosh dancing with the bride.
Haldi’s ceremony comes days after India clinched their maiden Women’s Cricket World Cup title with a dominating win over South Africa earlier this month.
Wedding of Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal
Palash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana are set to get married on November 23, Sunday.
Before the wedding, the couple shared a heartwarming moment at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.
Smriti gets a surprising proposal
Palash dropped a proposal video on Instagram where he is seen proposing to Smriti. The video starts with Palash leading Smriti to the playground. In the post, Palash is seen kneeling down and proposing to Smriti with a bouquet of roses and a ring.
“She said yes,” read the caption of the post shared by Palash.
Palash, who often wrote about India’s victory, also shared photos with Smriti and the World Cup trophy. In one caption he wrote: “Am I still dreaming?”
In another post cheering India’s victory, Palash featured a beaming Smriti while showing off his ‘SM18’ tattoo, a reference to Mandhana’s initials and jersey number.
Who is Palash Muchhal?
Palash Muchhal is the younger brother of popular singer Palak Muchhal.
Palash Muchhal was born in 1995 and grew up in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. He trained as a classical singer before embarking on a career in music composition.
Palash made his Bollywood debut with Dishkiyaoon in 2014 and went on to work in films like Sweety Weds NRI and Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho. Apart from his film projects, he is also exploring independent music and is currently directing the film ‘Raju Bajewala’ starring Avika Gor and Chandan Roy, according to a CNBC report.
How did Smriti and Palash meet?
According to reports, Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal met in 2019 and were introduced through mutual friends in Mumbai.
