
The Tamil Nadu government has appointed retired Madras High Court judge Justice R. Hemalath as a judicial member of the Tamil Nadu Lokayukta. He will hold the position for five years. The state government has also re-constituted the Tamil Nadu Fishermen’s Welfare Board with a new chairman and both official and non-official members. She appointed A. Joseph Stalin as the chairman of the council. It appointed A. Thajudeen, NJ Bose, P. Antony Stalin, A. Jose, V. Selvabarathi, RV Ganesh, AP Panneerselvam, M. Murugan, X. Lenin, G. Manoharan, M. Jebamalai Fernand, Jesuraja and PS Jesuraj alias Raja as members. The term of office of the newly established council would be two years.
