Adilabad Superintendent of Police Akhil Mahajan on Tuesday (November 18) launched the road safety club initiative at a program held at Mannur village in Gudihathnoor mandal of Adilabad district.

The initiative envisages formation of road safety clubs with residents of villages along national and state highways, dhaba owners, workers and employees of fuel outlets and other stakeholders. Initially around 450 such clubs were formed in different mandals of the district.
These clubs will organize awareness programs on road safety and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), identify accident prone areas in their respective villages and report appropriate measures to prevent road accidents to relevant authorities.
