The Union Home Ministry has selected Kavital Police Station in Raichur District as one of the top three police stations in the country for 2025.
In a letter dated November 14 to Director General and Inspector General of Police, Karnataka MA Saleem, Joint Director and Conference Secretary, Intelligence Bureau, Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi, Satyapriya Singh said, “The trophy will be presented to the Station House Officer (SHO) of the Kavital police station to be held on 25 at the Union Home Minister’s Conference at Kavital on 25. Indian Institute of Management/IIM, Raipur, Chhattisgarh, 28 November 2025.”
Keeping in view the parameters laid down in the expansion of pro-people services such as response to complainants by women, general public and aggrieved persons, prevention of atrocities on children and prevention of child marriage and maintenance of good environment and basic amenities, the station was selected as the best.
Expressing happiness, Raichur District Superintendent of Police M. Puttamadaiah said, “The trophy will definitely be an encouragement to all the police officers and other staff to put in more efforts to extend services to people and society.”
Meanwhile, sub-inspector of police Guruchandra Yadav is said to have been asked to travel to Raipur to collect the trophy.
