The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (AP-CRDA) signed 35 Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) worth ₹49,093 crore at the CII Partnership Summit 2025 in Visakhapatnam in the presence of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Minister for Local Administration, S. Surrayan, Principal Secretary P. Surrayan, P. Narayan K. Kanna Babu and Additional Commissioner A. Bhargav Teja.
The MoU covers several sectors, including sustainable urban transport, tourism, education, healthcare, infrastructure development, sports, skills training, SMEs, renewable energy, logistics, warehousing, trade fairs and events, and software exports.
Speaking on the topic ‘Sustainable Cities – From Vision to Investment’, Mr Narayana said Amaravati is emerging as an iconic greenfield capital of 217 square kilometres, made possible by the participation of over 29,000 farmers under the country’s largest Land Pooling Scheme (LPS).
He said Amaravati is seen as an economically vibrant and environmentally sustainable capital that will create opportunities for future generations. The minister added that the city’s master plan prepared by the Singapore government positions it as a world-class capital city.
About ₹91,000 crore worth of government buildings, roads, infrastructure and flood control works have been planned, with projects worth ₹51,000 crore already tendered for completion over the next three years.
