
A highly sophisticated white-collar terror cell led by a group of doctors and recently dismantled by the Jammu and Kashmir Police has been actively hunting for the suicide bomber since last year. A key architect, Dr. Umar Nabi, has relentlessly pushed this agenda, according to officials quoted by the news agency. PTI.
Interrogation of the co-accused, who was subsequently arrested, revealed that Umar – who is believed to have been killed while driving the explosive the car that exploded near the Red Fort on 10 November — was a “hard radical” and insisted that a suicide bomber was essential to their operations.

Subsequently, the Srinagar police quickly dispatched a team to Qazigund in south Kashmir and arrested Jasir alias “The Dane”, a graduate with a bachelor’s degree in political science. The arrest was made based on the interrogation of co-accused persons, including Dr. Adeel Rather and Dr. Muzammil Ahmad Ganai.

The arrested man admitted that he met the ‘doctor cell’ in October last year at a mosque in Kulgam. From there he was taken to rented accommodation at Al Falah University in Faridabad, Haryana.
The individual further stated that while others in the cell wanted him to act as a ground operative for the banned Jaish-e-Mohammed, Umar was intensively radicalized within months to become a suicide bomber.
However, this plan fell through in April this year after the man withdrew citing his poor economic situation and his religious belief that suicide is forbidden in Islam.
This revelation of a suicide bomber plot adds a dangerous new dimension to the investigation into an international terrorist network linked to JeM.

Executive planning of Babri Masjid blast and demolition
As stated earlier PTIUmar, a 28-year-old doctor from Pulwama, emerged as the most radicalized and key operative in the network spanning Kashmir, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. Officials believe he planned a powerful explosion of a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device timed to coincide with the anniversary of the Babri Masjid demolition on December 6.
However, after gathering evidence, officials said Umar’s plans involved planting an IED in a crowded area, either in the national capital or some place of religious significance, and then disappearing.
Umar’s transformation began after a trip to Turkey in 2021 with co-accused Dr. Muzammil Ahmad Ganaie, where they allegedly met JeM operatives. PTI message.
Along the way, Umar and Ganaie, who taught at Al Falah University, began collecting vast amounts of chemicals from the open market, including 360 kg of ammonium nitrate, potassium nitrate and sulfur.
